Nat Koch is an emerging South Australian artist. Currently studying Contemporary Art at UniSA and working in a multidisciplinary space, Nat experiments with assemblage, slip casting, textiles, print and paint. You’ll find Nat in her tumbledown house with her children and husband, at work in Childcare or out on an Adventure!
Through experimentation with natural and mineral dye processes, block print techniques, eco printing and tataki zome I explore place through connection and memory using dyes, plant matter, flowers and fabric collected from important places, people, and moments. I hope the viewer can engage through a sense of reminiscence as the work prompts memory and nostalgia through the use of domestic fabrics and creates a moment for self-reflection and questioning.
Works in Flower, Fruit, and Flood, My Dear:
Oh, what a web we weave!, 2023
