We named this artwork after the exhibition.

Perceived Barriers.

It’s a tongue in cheek reference to the ways people outside of the regions see and engage with us. To the perceptions others have of the very real barriers we face in making and presenting our work as regional artists.

Visitors enter the exhibition by walking through this hallway (this artwork), dodging each blank piece of paper in whatever way they choose.
