Poetry on my Porch #1
Mount Gambier | Thursday 29 August 2024, 6pm start
As part of Poetry Month.
Originally planned to be beneath the twinkle of fairy lights in Alysha’s backyard – we had wild and windy weather, so we activated the back-up plan and moved into the dining room instead!
We started with three songs performed by Bri Boyington, followed by poetry readings from Monica Hart, Josh King, and Alysha Herrmann (including two new poems commissioned especially for Poetry on my Porch – one each by Monica and Josh).
This Poetry on my Porch event was also supported by Red Room Poetry as part of Poetry Month 2024

The Poetry on my Porch series is one of the outcomes of Be Part of Things: we are the project.
Be Part of Things: we are the project has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its arts funding and advisory body, and by the Regional Arts Fund, which supports the arts in regional and remote Australia.
