Scratching the unnameable itch

A nod to Alysha’s project Poetry on my Porch, this artwork also references scratch nights in general and that itchy feeling we have as artists when we don’t make time to be creative. Being an artist is more than creating art. It’s a way of thinking, a process of being in the world and an itch that always comes back. It’s the need to express something about what it means to be human.

The materials used pay homage to the history of Part of Things so far and our previous events.

Microphone and stand, red mat, coloured pom poms and fake plants.
